Minus Tankmeup Gorz (the original) and Captain Gordon's gets a short vacation. They are WAYYY overplayed.
Beer Battle is removed due to the better BeerBattle version made by BrainPan (Thanks!).
AirMars - Even with the new node layout, gameplay mostly sucks. I wish someone could make that map better because I really like the concept.
Deserted Isles Final - Again, bad gameplay
DG Meadowland - Too big of a download for mediocre gameplay. If anyone wants to take a shot at reducing the size of that map by about 25%, I think that would make it much more playable.

Cool.....i'll be sure to check out the new maps. Any chance of doing a similar thread for the MM server? Really getting tired of playing the same maps over and over again. Adren Mart, China, all the arena maps and The End to name a few!

This is good news.
Played ScandinAVIA the other night - you were there Toxic - as you know people didn't seem to like it much. Nice looking map but didn't seem to play well - and I don't know about others but I was getting pretty low fps on that map.
If Ariathia was the one we played before that (I can't remember - was a new map for me whatever it was), then that one seemed much better. After I play it a few more times I'll let you know.
Never played OperaHouse before.
While CaptainGordons is down I'd like to do a quick, minor edit to that map. I just want to fix the couple of vehicles (tank, bender , maybe more) that don't reverse side for the blue team -- it annoys me when your tank faces the wrong way and the other teams doesn't.
I'm also looking at polishing up a version of MasterBath (been talking with Karma about it), so maybe we'll have that in the next few days.
I also (a long time ago) began editing D$KGunshop. I know many people dislike that map because it is sooooo biased towards one side (I think I've counted well over 10 ways that that map favors one side). Well that was/is the main goal of my editing it - to remove that bias. I don't remember exactly where I left off, but I know I:
1. made it bigger
2. made it more symmetrical
3. moved the levies to the bases (no team should have 2 levies)
I know it needs more work, but maybe I'll finish it up and see if people like it. -- Let me know --

One nit pick though, could nightwolf's version get the vacation instead of the original TMU? Take it from someone whos loved TMU since the begining, someone whos gotten tired of it, the nightwolf version might be better for noobs running around blasting things but the original is CLASSIC. Its like more complicated checkers board without quiet being chess. You get good balanced full teams and it is a shining example of balanced vehicular combat (with tanks).

Right now communication and coordination are the best tactics against the minotaur. Most of the time it has a single operator and against 3-4 tanks it will usually go down. Hell an ION and a centaur in the right places will take it down.
The minotaur was designed to be the queen of the board as gorz put it, but not unstoppable. I routinely deal 1500+ dmg to it singlehandedly onfoot/whatever I can grab, and thats in a short space of time, not 5 minutes and 15+ deaths. Only a supremely competent driver/gunner team could keep that thing alive against a motivated opposing team.
